Hello World,
My name is Misty and I’m a precious little three year old girl weighing only 13 pounds. My Mom was a pure bichon – and my Dad was a traveling man “of the terrier persuasion.” I got my looks from him and my personality is all bichon!
My story is a little unique in other ways too. I was born into this world as a FurKid and was one of seven ‘surprises.’ No one knew when I was born what I would grow up to become, until I was about a few months old. When I was eight weeks old (I was an adorable puppy, of course) I was adopted by a wonderful family. A few months ago my ‘original Mom’ became quite sick – and, with great reluctance, had to give me back to BFK.
Mom KNEW that my Aunties would find an amazing forever home for me and she also knew that she had given me a great start in my life. I had already learned to be loving, housebroken, enjoy walks, participate in ‘snuggle and cuddle competitions’ and to become a ‘meeter and a greeter.’ In my foster home I have honed those skills – and am even better at all of them.
My Aunties think I’m adorable, an old soul, and that I have the cutest ways about me. For example, you should see me when I’m near water. I LOVE water. Whether it’s a bath or the hose, I love the feel of water. I even spin in a circle to show how happy I am. And if you want to use the hose in the garden or to clean off the driveway, I’m quite happy to help.
Did I mention that I like kids? Well I do! There were a number of them walking down the street on the way to school. I very happily joined them and was hoping I could spend the day with them. You see there were wonderful kids in my original family and I loved being around them and all their friends.
I’m also good with other dogs and would be happiest in a home with another furkid. Mom started to say I was goofy with other dogs - and that’s true, too. I love to play chase and a game I call ‘tease’ then snuggle when all the play is done. He’s a good doggy foster brother so I’m glad he’s around.
Mom says that I’m a very special little girl that you will grow to love because I want to please, listen well, am attentive, love my humans and walks and snuggling – and that I’m the bestest companion in the world.
