My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet this sweet doggie named Auggie! He's a 5 year old Standard Poodle/Lab mix, also known as a Labradoodle. Auggie was formerly a Friendship dog. He lived with his adoptive owner for 1.5 yrs but she moved to an apartment that would not allow dogs. She was devastated to have to give him up. He loves car rides and stuffed animals. Auggie is living with other dogs at the prison and doing fine but he has never been around cats. Auggie can walk off-leash as long as there are no distractions. He likes to sneak in the garbage and counter-tops. Auggie was a wonderful loyal pet and is looking to be one again. He'll be back in late December or January. FRIENDSHIP IS NO LONGER ACCEPTING ADOPTION APPLICATIONS ON AUGGIE.

On October 21, 2014, Auggie was selected to be one of Friendship's Prison Dogs. He is currently undergoing training at the Grafton Correctional Institution. Prison Dogs are trained in obedience, basic commands, manners and proper leash walking. He will spend approximately 12 weeks at the prison.

If you are interested in adopting a prison dog, adoption applications are now being accepted. They can be downloaded at www.friendshipapl.org under ADOPT-FIND A FRIEND. A limited amount of apps will be accepted for each Prison Dog. They must be hand delivered to Friendship. If you have any questions, please contact the shelter at 440-322-4321.

Please contact Friendship at 440-322-4321 if you decide not to adopt this prison dog so they can take your name off the list.
