Here's what the humans have to say about me:
On 10-23-2014 this dog was selected to be a Prison Dog and is currently undergoing training at the Grafton Correctional Institute and not at Friendship. A new bio will be posted soon.
Sarge was brought to Friendship because of a new baby in the family. He is a one year old Boxer/Shepherd mix. Sarge lived with West, a Border Collie (that is also available for adoption). They are good friends and like to play with each other. He enjoys walks and playing in the yard. This boy is a big lug, and not really aware of his size, so owners said small children may be accidentally knocked down by him. He has not been with cats and didn't seem to like the kittens in the treatment room when he came in. He is an active and friendly dog with a "big voice" at times. Sarge is house trained and loves riding in the car. Stop by and check out this nice young fellow. He would love an active family to call his own.
If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.
