Tessa's Story...
Tessa is a 10 month old female Cockapoo. She was brought in to animal control as a stray. At that time, she had an ingrown/embedded collar and was started on antibiotics for the skin infection caused by the wound. It has healed up now, and Tessa is living in a foster home in Atlanta.

She has a really thick coat which was densely matted all over her body. She was remarkably patient as we clipped at her coat, trying to avoid a total shave-down as winter approaches. In the process of grooming her, we also discovered three puncture wounds on her side. They appear to be animal bites. Tessa is taking medicine to help those wounds heal up.

Ok, so that's the basic stuff. This pup is outstandingly friendly and outgoing. She is spunky, loving and reserved at the same time. Tessa loves squeaky soft toys, and snuggling on the sofa. Happy and content describes Tessa to a "T".

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tessa, a Atlanta Cockapoo dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cockapoo for sale in Atlanta, or seeking a Cockapoo dog from a breeder in Atlanta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Atlanta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Atlanta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cockapoo breeders who help with Cockapoo rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Atlanta paves the way for another one to be saved.
