My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Doby, he's an approx. 6-8 month old Shepherd/Doberman mix, or that's at least that's what he looks like. He currently weighs about 45 pounds and is on the medium size but he's got long legs, so he could go medium to large when he's fully grown. Doby is friendly and likes to play, but he's considered a teenager in dogs days so he'll need to be directed with some obedience training in the right direction as he grows. He gets along well with the other dogs and just seems like a happy go lucky guy even though he really wasn't smiling for the camera. I think Doby is going to make a nice pet for some family and would love a yard to run in and some kids to throw a ball for him to retrieve. UPDATE After having Doby a short time now I have found him to be friendly and gets along well with other dogs. Doby loves to be near his people and is not fond of a crate so a home where someone is home most of the day would be best for him. Doby has a very strong bark, so if your looking for a dog who'll intimidate by his voice, that would be Doby. He's still young and does not really bark at the door yet and he would only want attention but as he's get older that most likely will change and he'll be a good "watch dog". He's really friendly so I cannot imagine him doing much other then alerting. Doby does like to sleep with his favorite person at night and he's got really soft fur so he's like having a teddy bear next to you.UPDATE: #2 I am very pleased to announce that I do believe Doby is now housetrained. He will go to the door and let me know when he needs to go out. He's still got a lot of puppy energy but he's starting to calm down some. He loves to sleep near me at night and he's so soft so a home that would allow him to sleep either with them or near them would be great. He LOVES LOVES toys and they keep him busy. Doby is smart and would do great in obedience school. Doby has been neutered and is up to date on his vaccines. If you or your family would like to meet him or hear more about him, please call Jody at 708 268-6965. His adoption fee is $200.00 which also includes a microchip.
