Scarlett's Story...
Scarlett is an absolutely stunning 11 month old black beauty that came from the Nogales border. Scarlett travels great, is housebroken, loves other dogs and children and is learning commands rapidly. She weighs in at 55 lbs. and is as well balanced a lab as you will ever find. Scarlett walks well on a leash, however being a puppy enrolling in a training program will be mandated. Horses and cows interest her as far as alerting when they are near. We do not know about cats. Scarlett would do great with another playmate. She has a medium energy level. Scarlett is a head turner for sure with her beauty but her personality makes her the perfect package!

If you are interested in this dog, please fill out an application at www.DLRRphoenix.org. Someone will call to schedule a home visit so you can become an approved adopter. Also, visit our wonderful Facebook page at www.facebook/desertlab. Thanks!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scarlett, a Phoenix Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
