Kit's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, and not good with dogs.

Kit's Story...
CAT IS CURRENTLY IN TOKYO BUT WILL BE BROUGHT TO CALIFORNIA IF A HOME IS FOUND.
Estimated age: 2-3 years
Male (we have had him neutered)
Vaccination: Yes, F3
Wormed, treated for fleas and lice (with repeat treatment for safety)
FIV, FeLV: Negative
Other vet care: Full blood panel, x-ray, echo and sonogram - all showed perfect internal health

He found his way to us after someone dumped him. We estimate he is 2-3 years old. For the past six weeks he has been living in my guest room, first in quarantine for a month to make sure he was healthy, and now just waiting to find his forever home.
He is a bit skittish when new people arrive, but quickly warms up to you and after spending time with him he soon becomes a super playful snugglepuss. He will curl up on the bed with me, lie at my side and knead my leg.

He loves to sleep all day and is definitely active at night. Needs someone who will give him attention and play before heading to bed at night. He is also good at entertaining himself with a toy. He would best suit a single person or couple, or perhaps a family with older children who are experienced with cats. He might get on with another cat if given time to get used to each other.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kit, a Upper Marlboro British Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a British Shorthair for sale in Upper Marlboro, or seeking a British Shorthair cat from a breeder in Upper Marlboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Upper Marlboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Upper Marlboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even British Shorthair breeders who help with British Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Upper Marlboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
