My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello all! My name is Lady! I am loving life now that I was saved from a shelter in Eastern rural KY and am in foster care! They tell me I am a young girl, maybe 2 or 3 years old at the most, but I sure do love to lay around on the couch! I go for daily walks and do great on a leash. I am currently living with six other dogs and have settled nicely into the pack. I hardly pay any attention to all the cats running around indoors and out. My foster mom tells me that she’s never had a foster that does so well with all the kitties! I travel with foster mom daily to work and am a very well behaved passenger. I am working on basic commands like “kennel”, “sit” and “lay down”. I am quick learner because I am food motivated and do great with positive reinforcement. In addition to all of that, I’m also housebroken and crate trained too!

I am current on all my vaccinations, am heartworm tested, am current on heartworm and flea/tick preventative, am spayed and microchipped. My rescue, TWHRA, is open to out of state adoptions if they feel the applicant is a good fit for me, and it is within a distance in which arrangements to do a ‘home visit’ can be made. TWHRA is also open to 'foster to adopt' arrangements, allowing the applicant to foster me for a 2 week trial to determine if it's a good match before adoption is finalized. My adoption donation is $125 to help defray the cost of my vetting. To learn more about me, or for an adoption application, please email Sarah at sarahthewayhome@gmail.com . I have all sorts of love to give and I promise you won’t be disappointed if you make me a member of your family! I would love to find a home of my own so my foster parents can help another one of my breed who’s had a rough start in life like me!! Thank you for your interest in a rescue dog like me!
