Facts about Ruby

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Orange Or Red Tabby
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: CL
  • Hair: Short
I'm Ruby, an apricot and white tabby girl who was born in the fall of 2012. I'm very loving, sweet, and well behaved. I just love people!! Call me Miss Congeniality. Also I like to snuggle up to my foster mom so she can be sure and hear that my load purring sounds like a perking coffee pot.
I'm unusual because most ginger tabbies are male, and I'm all "sugar and spice and everything nice." My palette is almost the color of a cameo -- soft apricot with my white bib, mittens, and high go-go boots. I will dazzle your eyes -- like you would expect from any ruby! And I'm playful too. My laser mouse is my favorite toy.
I need to be the only cat in the house, but if a gentle dog will leave me alone, I will be fine. I was surrendered to a kill- shelter because my human companion's new husband was allergic to me, but I am staying positive and just know that my next home will be for my lifetime. If you're looking for an affectionate, attentive companion, I am PURRFECT.
Ruby is updated on shots, spayed, dewormed, microchipped, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for her indoor-only home. Her adoption fee is $100, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. About Buster's Friends

About Our Rescue Group...

Buster’s Friends, Inc. is a rescue group and non-profit 501c3 organization dedicated to helping homeless and abandoned adult dogs and cats as well as puppies and kittens find permanent homes through our network of foster homes. We are not a shelter or facility, and all animals in our program are fostered by individuals who keep the animal in their residence until it is adopted. This foster care gives them specialized care in a nurturing home environment.
Buster’s Friends was created in memory of Jennifer Fields, who spent countless hours rescuing and fostering hundreds of Houston’s homeless animals prior to losing her battle to cancer in May 2009. As a tribute to Jennifer and her dedication, we named the group after her beloved dog Buster, who made the journey to the Rainbow Bridge in August 2008.
