My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Monkey is an adorable 1 year old border collie/heeler mix that came to our rescue as a small puppy. She was adopted, but her family has had some life changes and feel that Monkey would benefit from a new home that can better accommodate her. Monkey is a very sweet girl, but like many herding breeds, she is a little skeptical of new people. She loves to play frisbee and play with other dogs. Monkey is fairly active and needs a home that is looking for an active, playful dog. She has lived with other dogs and gets along with them fine. She also does well at dog parks, and is reliable off-leash once she gets to know you. She likes to go hiking and swimming. Monkey is a good girl that just needs another chance at the right home. Monkey is not very big, at only around 25lbs full grown.

Monkey is spayed and up to date on routine vaccinations. She has been kept up to date on heartworm and flea/tick prevention since she was a puppy. She is also housebroken and crate trained. She is quiet in her crate and is happy to hang out there while you are at work until she is a little older and more reliable to be left alone. A year old is still very young for a herding breed dog.
