Buster's Story...
When I first met Buster he was sitting on his little dog bed shaking, being very quiet as all the other dogs were barking in the scary shelter. Buster had a "Blue Card" which means his time was up. I looked at him, he looked at me and that was it. I had to help that sweet sad face . So we at ARL did, he is a super sweet boy . Playful, enjoys lots of petting and is a sweetheart. He plays well with other dogs and would be great in any family. 1.5 yr. old 17 lbs. Neutered and all shots

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buster, a Fairmount Chihuahua/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Dachshund for sale in Fairmount, or seeking a Chihuahua/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Fairmount.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fairmount already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fairmount breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Dachshund breeders who help with Chihuahua/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fairmount paves the way for another one to be saved.
