Willow is soooooo beautiful. She is a silver lab mix which is rare. Willow is about 5 years old, short and stocky, gorgeous gray coat, and just a real stunner! Willow totally loves her humans and really wants to please. She is very affectionate and strives to receive affection in return. She enjoys playing with her foster siblings and both human and canine. Willow is house broken, knows obedience and is really quite good in the house. However, she does have a few down sides. She is leary of new people and will bark and growl, BUT, with a few treats and a few minutes, she warms up nicely and is their best friend. She has never offered to be aggressive with anyone, she is just leary and needs to have appropriate introduction. The other down side is that even though she is good with other dogs, there are other dogs that she does not like. She is a dominant girl and will probably be best in a home with no dogs or cats and older or no children. She is actually great with her kids, but visiting children might be a little difficult for her and her owner. But when you meet her and spend time with her, she is soooooo smart and sooooo sweet, her issues are worth managing. Willow is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm free and micro-chipped. She has been kept on frontline and heartgard. If you think that Willow may be the one for you or your family please complete an online application and request her on the notes section

About Lucky Lab Rescue and Adoption - IN

About Our Rescue Group...

Lucky Lab Rescue and Adoption is an all-volunteer, non-profit (currently filing for 501(c)(3) status) rescue organization whose mission is to reduce the euthanasia rates and inhumane treatment of Labrador Retrievers in the Midwest and find loving forever homes for them.

Most labs that come into Lucky Lab Rescue are from shelters here in the Midwest. Most are at risk of euthanasia, usually due to overcrowded shelters. Labs are one of the most popular breeds of dogs due to their loyal and family oriented personalities. Labs are also one of the most overbred breeds and are the number one breed to be found in shelters. They also have one of the highest euthanasia rates. Some find it difficult that rescues can be breed specific, however, Lucky Lab Rescue and other lab rescues make a huge impact on euthanasia rates just by rescuing labs and lab mixes alone.

Our Adoption Process...

Potiential adopters must fill out an application and a Lucky Lab representative will follow up with both a phone and home interview. Our adoption includes all vaccination, microchip, spay or neuter and a heartworm test. Provide additional medical treatments if needed.
