My basic info
Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello! My name is Bay-bee and I am an 11 year old Goffins Cockatoo. I had to come to Florida Parrot Rescue because my owners were very sick and could no longer care for me. I miss them, but I am also looking forward to becoming part of a new family. I love to dance and will bop my head along with you when music is playing – my foster family says I am quite the entertainer! I also like to find lose feathers, balance them on my back, and then stuff them back into my wings again, all while standing on one foot! I don’t mind being around other animals, but please just be careful and do not allow other animals to have physical contact with me as I am fragile. I was picking at my feathers a bit before I came into rescue, but I have calmed down some with that. New feathers are beginning to grow in, mostly because my new foster family makes sure I always have a huge variety of new toys. I am also being converted to a diet that includes quality pellets, fresh vegetables, and some fruits as well as healthy nuts (remember, no peanuts for parrots!). I LOVE to have my head scratched and really love getting lots of attention and affection from my human companions – I will even sit with you while you watch TV. I was in my old home with a Moluccan Cockatoo named Peaches who, while we are not bonded, I do get along with very well, so if you are looking for two birds, please check him out – he is also very sweet! Please come meet me very soon, I can't wait!
