Lady Jane's Story...
Lady Jane here and happy to meet you. I am a soft and sweet mellow lady who has just finished rearing a litter of 10 pups. You may have seen us on the WBZ Pet Parade. So it is definitely time for me to have some one on one cuddle time. No one knows for sure, but they believe me to be around 1-2 years of age and to be some sort of Shepherd mix. I am a happy and outgoing lady. I am an active gal who enjoys going for walks and spending time with my people. I am a large size weighing in at just about 56 pounds. I am really looking forward to meeting my soul mate so stop procrastinating and come on down to the "this dog is right" show today! Before making the trip to visit the shelter we strongly recommend checking our website for information on adoption policies and procedures. Please understand that because we are a busy place and because so many animals need our care and attention, adoptions are on a first come basis and no animal will be put on hold, we appreciate your understanding and look forward to your visit! To inquire about a pet's availability or for more information please PHONE the shelter (978-283-6055 ex 10 for reception desk) instead of sending emails.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lady Jane, a Gloucester German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Gloucester, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Gloucester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gloucester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gloucester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gloucester paves the way for another one to be saved.
