Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Duncan is a darling Bichon/Shih Tzu mix (Teddy Bear) who is believed to be about seven years old. He is a sweet, 15 pound dog with buff and light brown markings. He came from a home that had three active young boys. Unfortunately they overwhelmed him and he prefers a quiet, calm environment. Duncan likes to walk and can go quite a distance, so he would love to have an adult owner who could take him on a substantial walk every day. He sleeps in bed very nicely all night with his foster parents and two foster dog sisters. He is very affectionate and enjoys the company of people and will cuddle with you on the couch at night. He would do well in a home as an only dog or with another small dog that has his same calm disposition. Duncan plays with toys, likes chew sticks, and will play with his foster dog sisters. He sits on the back of the sofa and is interested in looking out the window and only barks once in a while. He is house-trained but needs to go out a few times during the day. Because of his love of and attachment to people, Duncan would do best if the owner can be home at least part of the day with him.
Duncan is neutered, micro-chipped, is up to date with his vaccinations and in very good health.
His adoption fee is $220.00 plus sales tax. His foster parents would like his adopters to live within a reasonable driving distance of the Twin Cities and they are also encouraged to attend the annual Shih Tzu Rescue Reunion held in June.
