My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DISNEY DOG: At the NORTH CENTRAL SHELTER for 3 months, HELEN was one of the most overlooked dog there. BECAUSE OF HER BLACK COLOR and the location at the shelter, you almost couldn't even tell anyone was in her cage. WE SAW ***DISNEY PARTY*** marked on a kennel card and stopped to see WHAT THAT MEANT. (Honestly, without having seen that marked on her kennel card, we would not have even known there was an animal in the cage because she blended in and was so quiet.) Then we saw the black bundle of fur. We wanted to meet her. We headed up to the administrative desk to ask more about her. BUT WHEN WE HEADED BACK TO HER CAGE 10 MINUTES LATER to put our hands on this lovely animal who the shelter staff said was the "sweetest girl" "so good" "so loving" "so mellow" "we don't know why she hasn't been adopted" she had already been WHISKED AWAY TO A DISNEY PARTY (for real, she went to a party hosted by DISNEY). Well, we were HOPING someone at that party would adopt her, but when we checked in a few days later, poor HELEN was still at the shelter. WE COULDN'T TAKE IT, SO HELEN IS PART OF TAPS NOW. ANY animal that a City Shelter would send to a DISNEY party must be an animal they have faith in - and if they have faith in her - we do too! We are just getting to know Helen as she became part of our TAPS family on 10/7/14
