Rosie
1 Year Old Female Red Abyssinian

Rosie came into rescue in July from a local shelter. She had been taken from a horrible residential situation and came to rescue pretty unsocialized and with a severe eye problem. Rosie was pretty upset by all the changes in her life and so her foster mom let her settle in a bit. Late in August, Rosie had Cyro eye surgery. Her eye lid was malformed at birth and that caused her eye lashes to touch her eye which, of course, irritated the eye. During the surgery, the eye lid was reshaped and the eye lashes frozen to remove them and take away the irritation. After healing, Rosie has done better but her new home will have to watch to make sure the lashes do not grow back. Rosie also has dry eyes and an application of a liquid tears keeps her eyes happy.

Rosie is a delightful, beautiful red color, and a petite and loving Abyssinian. She is about 6 lbs and flits here and there in a way only an Aby can do. She will delight you with her athletic feats and will be all too eager to help with whatever she thinks you need help. She loves her toys and loves when she gets a new one. Her sweet, tiny voice will fill your day.

Rosie loves other cats and probably dogs, but she cannot be an only cat. She is litter box perfect and a good eater, eating both high quality dry and canned foods. She is healthy, current on vaccinations, spayed, FeLV/FIV negative and microchipped. Rosie is fostered in Pleasanton.
