Sequoia's Story...
The second Farfel's Farm saw Sequoia and her sister, Gypsy, we knew they had to come to Colorado! We instantly pictured them jumping in piles of leaves or snow (soon to come!) and hitting the trails! If there is a better place for them to grow up, we can't think of it. Sequoia is a 12 week old, 14lb Siberian Husky (maybe white german shepherd because of her ears?) She is a very intelligent, playful and loving puppy who is excited to find a committed individual or family. Sequoia and her sister we surrendered to the shelter because the person had too many dogs. Farfel's can't wait for her to experience the loving, stable and adventurous life that lies ahead. Because Sequoia is so young she needs someone who is committed to learning with her at obedience and puppy socialization classes (recall training is very important). Sequoia is a blank slate ready to learn and love. We envision her with someone who is home a lot and has time for a puppy. She would love a fenced in yard and another dog to play with!

If you're interested in adopting Sequoia please complete our adoption application at www.farfelsrescue.com. Please put ATTN: CASEY in the subject line. Thanks!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sequoia, a Boulder Siberian Husky/Whippet puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Siberian Husky/Whippet for sale in Boulder, or seeking a Siberian Husky/Whippet puppy from a breeder in Boulder.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boulder already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boulder breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Siberian Husky/Whippet breeders who help with Siberian Husky/Whippet rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boulder paves the way for another one to be saved.
