Misty is a female, pure-bred Cocker Spaniel. She came to AFH via a volunteer who was visiting Ocean City and learned she had been given up. The long time AFH volunteer felt Misty’s chances of adoption would be better in this area. Misty is a great girl. She bonds well with new people. She does not like other dogs, so we recommend she be a solo dog, but she has been learning to coexist with her foster’s cats. She is house broken and sits on command. We have been taking her to socialization classes where she has shown improvement. She is strong, but not a “puller” when on lead. As we have learned from other Cocker Spaniel parents, she can be vocal about what she wants, but also “telling” when it is time to go “out.” We do not recommend small children in her new home; however, if the children are only short time visitors, Misty would be fine in a kennel while they visit. Once you have her trust, she will be your best friend and companion. Give Misty a second chance at a forever home and don’t let her age fool you! Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to meet her or come to any of our adoption events. See her making snow angels:
