SNIPPET's Story...
There are eight in this litter and they are all precious, happy, good natured, sweet and totally loveable little pups. As with most puppies, they are pretty active and they love to run and play with their siblings and toys. They are also “people” lovers. His mother is a 16 pound, solid black Dachshund mix named Pria and her father is a 11 pound, solid brindle Dachshund mix named Peanut (Mom and Dad are also posted for adoption). His owners moved away and left the whole family, Mama, Daddy and all eight (5 week old) puppies to fend for themselves. Fortunately they weren’t on their own very long…a nice lady found them and called FOGCA. Snippet is pretty lively & sweet as can be. He was born on June 6th – 16 weeks old at the time of this posting & only weighs about 10-11 pounds. He has been neutered, is current on all vaccines, worming, heartworm and flea prevention. His adoption fee is $400.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

SNIPPET, a Hartford Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Hartford, or seeking a Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Hartford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hartford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hartford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hartford paves the way for another one to be saved.
