My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The first thing you notice about Jonah is the love and positive attitude that is always with him. He almost wears it like a cloak. It's surprising considering this incredibly beautiful Schnoodle (Schnauzer/Poodle mix - one of the top breed mixes due to great temperaments and beautiful non-shedding coats) was homeless in rural Texas and out of options. But you would never know it! Jonah has a spirit that is so devoted to anyone who shows love and caring. A soft pat is so gratefully accepted...a belly rub is nirvana. Once thing that is certain is that this very handsome guy appreciates all kind gestures..and returns the favor a thousand times over. Jonah's challenging life taught him to always give love and devotion with all his heart...when he is acknowledged, the joy starts at his wagging tail and moves up to his expressive eyes - so brimming with appreciation for even the smallest touch. At 20 lbs and just 12 - 18 months old, Jonah has a long lifetime ahead to enjoy the best of life in a permanent home. The efforts of many contributed to the rescue, foster and arrangements for Jonah to get his boarding pass to Colorado. The consensus was unanimous that this exceptional pup earned his ticket...with an engaging personality (even if a bit shy initially) and so much love to give that it might just overflow. Jonah's foster mom said it the best:
This beautiful pup with the coat that feels so soft could easily become the love of anyone's life (after an initial bonding period!) And he puts so much good into the world...Jonah adores me, he can't get enough of my 3 older, gentle children and he even shows enthusiasm for my grumpy husband. It's not unusual to find Jonah wedged into a small spot on the couch with his adorable head on one daughter and his body draped across the other. Jonah loves my family unlike any dog I've ever had in my home...I trust him completely and enjoy his company tremendously. I have taken Jonah to work with me...and no one can ever get enough of his wonderful personality. We'll all miss him but know that Jonah will be the best friend a special Colorado family can ever imagine!
Jonah is a non-shedding guy and will therefore require periodic grooming and great nutrition to keep his amazing coat healthy and matt-free.

Jonah will be arriving on transport on 10/10/14. If interested in this adorable and sweet companion, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com.
