My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am a 7-year-old neutered male Wire Fox Terrier mix. I weigh about 32 pounds. I'm super duper adorable and sweet as sugar, too! I get along fantastically with other dogs and I love every person I meet. I've got a 5-star award winning personality and you can't beat that! :)

Before I get into telling you my story, let me just say that I am a super loving, down-to-earth, well-behaved guy who still knows how to have fun. I enjoy playtime with my canine friends and running around with my human friends, but I would also really enjoy hanging out with my family at the park, taking naps on the couch, or watching a movie while I get pets. I don't require a ton of exercise, but I'm not a total couch potato either. I'm the perfect mix of mellow and playful.

Alright, here's what happened to me. I had a previous family who I lived with for many years. I thought it was a forever thing because I never knew that families abandon their dogs. So, when my human parents dropped me off at a friend's house and said that they would be back for me, I truly believed them. I had no reason not to. As time passed, days turned into weeks and I started to get nervous. It had been so long since I had seen my family that I became concerned something might have happened to them. Little did I know, they no longer wanted me and there never was a plan in place to come back and get me. Can you imagine? Just like that, losing everything you've ever known? It was disheartening, to say the least.

Then, to make matters worse, the person I was staying with was unable to keep me so I was taken to a high-kill city animal shelter. I thought my luck had completely run out, but apparently I'm a luckier guy than I ever imagined, because only about a week after being dumped at the shelter, I was saved by CageFree! Yippee! I was elated :)

Enough about my not-so-fortunate past. I'm ready to move on and I've put everything behind me. Now I'm looking forward to a very bright future. I know there is a family out there just for me...one that will cherish me and provide me with a safe and loving home for the rest of my life.

If you think that you're that family, please contact CageFree as soon as you can to tell them you want to come meet me! I can't wait to meet you!
