Oso's Story...
Oso is a Spaniel/Golden Retriever mix with a good dose of corgi in him who weighs 20 lbs. At 7 months old he is still a baby. He was given to one of our volunteers because of a mean old landlord who wouldn’t let Oso stay with his family. He is housebroken and is used to being alone in the home for hours at a time. He is used to children and other dogs and doesn’t have any destructive tendencies. He does bark at strangers at the door and through the window. He has been well cared for and is just looking to transition into a forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oso, a Encino Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever for sale in Encino, or seeking a Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever puppy from a breeder in Encino.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Encino already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Encino breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Encino paves the way for another one to be saved.
