Fiona and Fontina appear to be a mother and daughter who were both found by one of our volunteers late one Sunday evening in the Pompano area. No owners have come for them. They are both very sweet, lively and have lots and always have a kiss for anyone who comes to visit them. Both of them are about 50 pounds and are full grown. Fiona is about 3 years old and Fontina is about 1 year old. Does not like cats.
Fontina is very cute & actually looks like a pit/greyhound mix. She is very friendly. She would like to be the only dog in the house. She likes walks, belly rubs, gives kisses & sometimes think she's a lap dog! Fontina would do best with older children as she doesn't know she could knock down a toddler. A yard for Fontina would also be nice. She's been at the shelter for a while just hoping that someone will notice how pretty she is & want to give her a forever home!

PLEASE NOTE: We require all interested parties to come to the shelter to meet the pet, complete an adoption application, and interview with our Director. We do not do same day adoptions or ship animals. For additional information on our adoption policies, visiting hours and directions please go to Abandoned Pet Rescue.

About Abandoned Pet Rescue, Inc.

About Our Shelter...

Abandoned Pet Rescue is a 501 ( c ) (3) IRS tax-exempt, qualified charitable organization that rescues, shelters, and cares for countless abandoned and abused animals and finds them new homes. We have been serving the South Florida community since 1996. Our no-kill animal shelter is located in Ft. Lauderdale, where volunteers of all ages help perform the duties of running the shelter and our operations on a day-to-day basis, creating a mutually beneficial relationship between animals and the community. By conducting neighborhood sweeps, APR helps reduce the pet over population by spaying and neutering feral cats with the use of a mobile veterinary facility.
