DASH's Story...
What a darling little guy! Dash is a little more reserved…fairly quiet and shy – all he needs is a home of his own where he is the center of attention and can gain a little confidence. He was one of eight puppies and tended to stay in the background a lot. He is happy, good natured, sweet and loves to play with his siblings. His mother is a 16 pound, solid black Dachshund mix named Pria and looks like his dad was a Rat Terrier (Mom has already been adopted). His owners moved away and left the whole family, Mama and all eight puppies to fend for themselves. Fortunately they weren’t on their own very long…a nice lady found them and called FOGCA. He was born on June 6th, only weighs about 15 pounds. He has been neutered, is current on all vaccines, worming, heartworm and flea prevention. His adoption fee is $400.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

DASH, a Bedminster Dachshund/Rat Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Rat Terrier for sale in Bedminster, or seeking a Dachshund/Rat Terrier puppy from a breeder in Bedminster.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bedminster already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bedminster breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Rat Terrier breeders who help with Dachshund/Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bedminster paves the way for another one to be saved.
