My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Abby and Bebe are a bonded pair of Bichons who will melt your heart! Abby is 6 years old, missing an ear flap and petite - just 11 pounds, but don't let her small size fool you. While she is great at cuddling and will simply melt into your arms when she has the pleasure of being held, she can 'blitz' with the best of them. Bebe is only 2 years old, but is larger than Abby at 14 pounds, and simply a bundle of energy. She is a classic Bichon clown who is entertaining to watch as she explores her environment.

Abby is the wannabe alpha girl. She is ready for anything, especially once she is certain of her footing. She was initially very cautious about steps of any sort. She still hasn't made it down our carpeted basement steps, but she now flies off the porch.

She and Bebe are both very eager to inhale their food. We have gotten them both "slo-bowls" which has slowed them both down considerably. We feed all 4 dogs separately to discourage anybody from helping to finish another's food. We are doing food with no artificial colors or additives, Lamb and Rice for small breeds. The fur discoloration is almost gone. Abby has some around her eyes but it is improving.

She cannot make the jump up onto the furniture, and if no one picks her up, she curls up into a dog bed. These dogs will do almost anything for treats, but Abby definitely has a mind of her own. Very inquisitive, super enthusiastic, and loves cuddles! So affectionate! Abby has Attitude!

They are now house trained and are very dependable about going outside if they have the opportunity.

Bebe is always on alert if she can get to the window. She loves being outside even more than Abby. Abby run faster and keeps Bebe from fetching the toys. They are cheerful, adventurous dogs and love their walks. The haven't had a lot of leash practice, but they are learning. Bebe is more hesitant than Abby, but is very eager to please. She has an acrobatic tongue that can lick you when you least expect it. She is also a talker - not always loudly, but she really tries to vocalize her opinion! She loves to cuddle - both are lap dogs. Bebe can jump up on our loveseat and recliners quite easily.

Both dogs have been sleeping in dog beds next to ours. They both like predictable routine and adapt well. We crate them together if we are going to be gone more than a few minutes, and they go right in. We give them lots of soft snuggly stuff to make them comfy. Thy both love to play and rough house, especially Abby. 4 playful dogs loose in our small house might be too much, so we stay on the safe side. Bebe's dream is to be able to sleep in our bed all night!

They are both very good for the groomer, and allow us to handle them as we need to. They have come a long way from when we got them right before Halloween. We have far less licking and scratching. Their coats are growing in full and pretty. They both love kids, but Bebe takes a little while to stop barking because she gets so excited. Bebe's tail is almost a perpetual motion machine!
They have been together for a long time, and must be adopted together.

They are being fostered in TN
