My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! My name is Cotton, and I am the cutest little nugget you will ever meet!! I’m 3 years old and weigh about 7 pounds. Yes, I am one of those small bichons, but I have a big heart and lots of love to give.

Even though I was rescued from a shelter in Chicago, IL, my foster mom says I have really great manners. I don’t mind wearing sweaters, walk really well on a leash, and ride like a good boy in the car.
Yeah, I LOVE to go for walks and rides. When we go for walks, I make my foster mom giggle because my tiny legs have to move so quickly to keep up, but I love to be outside.

I like to stay close to my foster mom when she’s home. I like to be in her lap and snuggling if she’s sitting down, but sometimes I do like to hang out on my blanket on the couch by myself. My foster mom leaves me free to roam the house with my foster brother when she goes to work and I’m such a good boy I don’t destroy anything! I’m doing pretty good on not going potty in the house, and I sleep in the bed with them at night, too. Oh how I LOVE to snuggle!

I’m a little shy around strangers, but I do like to meet new people. So sometimes I will run up to a new person, but then shy away when they try to pet me. But if I can get a good sniff of that person, I am their new best friend. I really like going for walks in the morning because all the kids waiting for the bus want to play with me. Speaking of play, I love to play with my foster brother. We chase each other around the house and roll around on the couch chewing on each other’s ears and necks. I need another dog in the home with me. Because I am so little, I am afraid of big dogs.

I am up to date on vaccinations, Heartworm negative, and neutered. Children in the home need to be at least 10.
If you are looking for the cutest, sweetest, loyal little companion who will keep your lap warm and love you unconditionally, I am the dog for you. Please consider adopting me!
