Olive's Story...
Oh dear! I wish I could find a big strong man to sweep me off my feet and take care of me! Maybe a seafaring type, with a penchant for leafy greens? A girl can dream! But the reality is that I really want a family to love me. I am young and have my whole life ahead of me. I want to experience the world with great friends that have a lust for life. I may be a little wary of things now, so respectful older children 8+ would be best, but that’s because I haven't had any stability in my life so far. No one has invested the time in showing me the ropes of life. With some positive reinforcement, consistency, and that all-important ingredient—love—I know that I can become the fully confident, dynamite dog of your dreams! A little encouragement goes a long way. Show me what it's like to be strong to the finish! 20 weeks old-20lbs. My adoption fee is $260 and includes: spay, microchip, reduced-cost training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Olive, a Portland Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Portland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
