Tennessee's Story...
Tennessee’s state slogan is “America at Its Best,” so it’s no surprise that my slogan is “Dog at Its Best.” At least that's what it will be if you lend this boy a helping hand. I got the heart of rock ‘n’ roll in my soul, honky tonk in my tootsies, and I am aiming to square dance right into your heart! You know Tennessee loves the kids! I also love the dogs I have met here. And even though I can play a little rough, I really don't mind the feline types! I am young and still a little rough around the edges, but with your consistent, loving, guiding hand I will be a powerhouse of awesome before you know it. I just need someone to give me a chance. Think where we would be if no one ever gave Elvis Aron Presley a shot, or B.B. King never got to lay down tracks. Give me a crate and some quiet time and I will lay down some zzz's while you’re away. Sometimes you just need one chance to change your life and make the world a better place. 1 year old-51lbs. My adoption fee is $200 and includes: neuter, microchip, reduced-cost training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tennessee, a Portland Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Portland, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
