My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

COURTESY POST: Roy – 4 - 5 year old neutered male – A couch potato with a kick!

Roy is 4-5 year old male who originally came from Florida. He is microchipped,

neutered, and up-to-date on all shots. He was underweight and under socialized when he

came into rescue, but you would never know that now. Roy loves every person he meets,

and bonds quickly to you. He would do well in a home with a female dog, as he can be a

little pushy with a male dog. Roy is learning his leash manners and would do well with

an obedience class. He is a very easy going dog as long as he understands what you want

from him. He only wants to please his person.

Roy loves to play ball or just cuddle on the couch with his person. He will follow you

everywhere in the house and wants to be right by your side, wherever that is. Roy is an

excellent boy in the crate and does not bark. I would imagine he would be okay loose in

the house as well when you are not there, but since I have 4 other Malinois, we are unable

to test that theory here! He is an outstanding boy, and if you put some time into him, he is

only going to get better!

Roy will not be placed in a home with cats or small dogs due to his prey drive. He has

tried being around cats and will chase and possibly hurt them, so NO Exceptions!

I would prefer Roy to be able to meet his potential owners and or house mates prior

to placement, so Roy will not be placed in a home where this cannot happen. Roy is

currently in the northern part of Maryland in Harford County, about an hour from the

Delaware line.

If you feel Roy is your gentle boy, please contact his foster and coordinator, Maryfrances

Betts at betts32098@yahoo.com
