Hi everybody!
My name is Davey and I’m 11 ½ pounds of sweetness and curiosity in the form of a very happy, handsome and healthy bichon boy. I’m social, loving and playful and, according to my Mom, a great little guy with a huge heart and a joyful spirit.
Before I became a furkid I lived in a home with an older couple. I didn’t get a lot of exercise or the chance to run and play. That’s kind of tough for a young guy but I’m now making up for it. I love to run, with the wind in my hair, play (with my doggy foster sister), am learning the joys of toys (oh my, does that rhyme?) and (drum roll please) I’m housebroken and want to please!
Mom says to tell you that I love everybody, big people and little people alike. I love people of all sizes and shapes – and other dogs, including my doggy foster sister. While she outweighs me by 80 pounds we are the best of friends because I'm great with other dogs! I love nothing more than to run or play chase with her– and she runs and plays chase right back. Unlike a lot of my bichon ‘cousins’ I get along with dogs that are five and ten times my size! (That's most of the dogs in the world I think!) Size doesn’t matter to me as long as we can have fun together.
My most favorite thing in the whole wide world is... you guessed it: cuddling! Mom says that I could win the prize for being a cuddlebug. (Aw gee, Mom. I’m not a bug at all…. I’m a bichon!) She says if you show me a lap I will curl up in it and immediately, and happily, go to sleep. Why I can nap anywhere – on a lap or a blanket – or on the couch! At night I curl up with my doggy foster sisteror a stuffed animal on the Big People’s Bed and I sleep quietly all night long.
Did I mention that I like to go for walks and rides in the car? Yes I do! I think every day is a great day just to ‘enjoy’ – and I make the most of it!
Mom says I will do best in a home that has another dog for me to play with and someone to cuddle with, too. I’m a great companion and a pretty special little boy. Do I sound like the furkid for you?
