Harley Quinn's Story...
Harley Quinn was surrendered to the rescue from a horrible and neglectful family. They never cared for her and never took her to the vet or bathed her. She was so flea infested when we took her in that she had lost most of the fur on her hind quarter to flea dermatitis. The poor little girl had actually scratched herself raw.
We quickly got her de-flead and took her to the vet to get her vaccinations and be spayed.
Harley is now in great shape and has become a happy and healthy pup! So she is all ready for her new home and her new life to start with people who will never neglect her again!
Harley is 18 months old, weighs in at around 13 lbs., and is fully vetted. She is housebroken and crate trained too! All this and a little lover honey to boot!
If you are interested in our little princess please email us at ourbestfriendsrescue@gmail.com for an application for adoption.
Harley is located in Freeport NY and her adoption fee is $350.00

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harley Quinn, a Freeport Maltese/Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese/Shih Tzu for sale in Freeport, or seeking a Maltese/Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Freeport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Freeport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Freeport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese/Shih Tzu breeders who help with Maltese/Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Freeport paves the way for another one to be saved.
