My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Buckley. I have lots of nick-names because my foster family loves me so. Sometimes they call me Buck-a-roo (I like to jump around like a circus performer), half-buck (I’m on the small side), and just plain Buck cause I’m just a great little guy.

I am super-duper smart. I know a few cool commands and some tricks. I can sit, lie down, and sometimes sit up on my hind legs for a treat. I love to go on walks and car rides and when my foster Mom asks me I usually run very fast in a tight circle and sit down so she can put my harness and leash on me. I have a lot of energy on my walks and sometimes run and pull so my harness keeps me safe. I also love to be in the car but my foster Mom makes me wear a seatbelt because I’m so curious I jump around to get a better view if I’m not wearing one. I am completely potty trained. I go potty on a tie-out and during my walks.

Before I came to MW BREW I wasn’t taken care of very well and I was very underweight. My foster Mom is mixing dry kibble and canned dog food together to pump up my weight and it seems to be working. I am only a couple of pounds away from my goal weight. My foster Mom says she would like to eventually wean me off the canned food, so I’ll just eat kibble but I’m not real keen on that idea at the moment.

I am 10 years young and everyone thinks that I am still a puppy. I am on the small side at only 18 pounds (working on 20). I have the perfect amount of energy. I am agile and like to jump on the furniture and beds (until someone kicks me off). I run around the house and try to get my old man foster brother to join me. I have no problem settling down and snoozing on the couch or floor or wherever I can find a comfy spot. I do have some aches and pains that go along with my age. I get some inflammation in my back which causes me some pain but medication seems to help when that flares up.

If you are looking for a small guy who is really cute and smart, I am your man. I will provide you with years of adorable fun and laughter when you make me your forever friend!
