My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there, my name is Pogo. I’m just under 2 years old and I’m an energetic, playful, curious, good hearted beagle that has a lot of love to give to the right family.

I currently live with 2 older beagle friends and we all get along fine. I like to play and beagle box, so if you’ve got a friend looking for some daily activity, I could be a good match. If you have an older friend who is easily annoyed, I may not be a good fit.

I’m a high energy beagle, and I will run circles around you! If you’re looking to take long walks and get in shape, I’m your man. I love to play outside, but I’ve also been known to lie next to you on the couch and snuggle with you after a long day of play.

My favorite thing in the whole world is tennis balls. I will retrieve that ball as many times as you are willing to throw it. I also love to chew on bones. (Warning: I may or may not chew on anything else you might leave laying around.) I like to spend time outside in my yard, but prefer the company of others.

I haven’t spent much time around little kids yet, I tend to be a little nippy and jumpy, in a playful way, but they might feel overwhelmed by me. I may also be confused about what toys are theirs and what toys are mine.

I am currently crated during the day when mom and dad go to work for about 6 to 7 hours.

I’ve been in my current foster home for almost 5 months (more on that from my foster mom below) and I’ve only had a few potty accidents. I am also working on improving my house manners and I’m told I’m progressing quickly.

I love being showered with cuddles and treats.

I am very anxious to get situated in my furever home
