My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Thank you so much for your interest in Calvin.

A little bit of information on Calvin:

UPDATED INFORMATION ON CALVIN:

As you'll see below Calvin was a very quiet shy dog in the shelter and our amazing rescue saw potential in him and knew to pull him. Since he's been in Connecticut well he's thrived. He's very friendly and out going. He loves other dogs and is fine with cats also. He will try to always be as close to his human as possible. He IS HOUSETRAINED..... He's not a big fan of being left alone for long periods of time.

The Perfect Home for Calvin:

A home with another dog would be GREAT. That way he doesn't get so lonely. Someone who is home more than not. Retired couple or people who maybe work part time. Loves to be outside and walk on leash. He really has been great with leash walking with his foster brothers and loves taking nice long walks. It will also tire him out in no time and then he'll just lay by your side.

Calvin has been bounced around a bit since being in Connecticut so we're going to be 100% sure that he's getting the best fit for him.

Is that you? Well now that you know how great he is now... read about how much he's overcome from his description below.

Calvin was frozen in a corner in a pile of bleach water at a high kill shelter. He was so frightened as to the environment he did not notice the water had soaked him. He had to be carried out to safety. It took 2 days for him to approach and another 2 days for Calvin to be comfortable enough to ask for affection and play with the other dogs. He has a gentle shy spirit and soaks up love. Calvin plays well with large groups of dogs, kids, and is fine with cats. He does have initial shyness and will do best in a quieter home. Crate Trained , Leash Trained (Walks calmly on lead), Good with Cats, Good with Children, Good with Adults Male and Female, Good with other Dogs, Needs a Quiet home. Needs a fence.  Has been known to jump/climb over.

Calvin is being fostered in Connecticut so is available for adoption anytime. If you are interested in applying for Calvin please visit our website and fill out an application at:
