Gordon's Story...
Gordon coming at you in a flash! You see I was a stray dog at the shelter when the rescue took me in. I’m a tri-color, 45 lb. little guy with a HUGE personality. My age…well that’s up for debate right now. Some say I’m 6 years old but my foster mom says more like 2 or 3 because I’m a VERY energetic. So if you are looking for a quiet laid back dog, sorry I’m not the one because I love to play and run around.

I’d love to have a playmate as I get along with all the dogs at my foster home and I love kids too! I seem to have some allergies to something outside in the air right now but don’t let that stop you from adopting me today.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gordon, a Phoenix Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
