Frankie's Story...
She is a Cat Dog. You know the type - she missed her calling as a big black lab. Frankie watches her foster family leave and waits by the door till they return. She always has her tongue hanging out and is the official greeter at the door. She loves to find you sitting so that she can curl up in your lap, and if you dare to put a laptop in your lap, she will crawl on your shoulder instead to nap. She is used to being around small children and other cats and holds her own when our cat plays with her or the kids tote her around in a stroller. She also loves to chase balls, string, and even catches and disposes of flies! She’s fostered in the Five Points District of Huntsville, AL and we’d love to introduce you to her. Please email info@FORrescue.net?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Frankie, a Marietta Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
