Pixie's Story...

Pixie is an approximately 18 month old spayed female terrier mix. This sweet girl and her siblings were found cowering in a ditch off a rural highway in Livingston Parish. They are now safe in foster care and ready for their forever homes. Pixie is a sweet girl but at first can be a little shy. She is approximately 12-15 pounds and at this time is full grown. She is current on vaccinations and has also tested NEGATIVE for heartworms.

Pixie is available for adoption thru Swampy Paws and her adoption fee is $150 which includes all vaccinations, dewormer, flea/heartworm prevention, heartworm test, vet check and spay.

A fenced yard and home visit are REQUIRED to adopt.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pixie, a Killian Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Killian, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) puppy from a breeder in Killian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Killian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Killian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Killian paves the way for another one to be saved.
