Buck's Story...
Buck is a middle aged pit mix who weighs around 65 lbs that was rescued from ACCT and transferred to us by another rescue. He loves to cuddle, is calm, gentle, affectionate, and loves to be around people! Buck is good with children and other medium/large dogs and currently lives in foster care with a 3 year old and a doggie sister. He is easy going and enjoys walks, playing fetch, and chewing on bones or a kong but seems most content laying beside his humans (and snoozing!) Buck is house trained and crate trained and knows several commands (sit, paw, come, stay). Buck is a strong guy and pulls slightly while on leash but is doing well now with his gentle leader on walks. He takes treats very gently and does great in the car. Buck would make an excellent addition to any family!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buck, a Philadelphia American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever for sale in Philadelphia, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Philadelphia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Philadelphia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Philadelphia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Philadelphia paves the way for another one to be saved.
