Here's what the humans have to say about me:
To start the adoption process, please fill out our form on our web site at: www.spokanewienerdogs.org and see the Adopt a Dog/Fee page with more details on how we adopt our dogs. There are a lot of questions answered on our site and personality details below about each dog.
Dogs listed on Petfinder are still available for adoption and will stay listed until we find them the right homes with our adoption paperwork all finished. Thanks.
Please indicate which dog you are interested in on the form. You can also view our adoption contract sample there as well and read about our adoption process like site visits and paperwork needed to adopt.
There is an adoption fee of $250 for this dog. No phone calls or emails please. Please see our web site for details.
This is Wrango and we are guessing his age around 3 to 4 years old because he was passed around a bit before we got him. This is one handsome tweenie sized boy. He bit a vet but has not tried to bite anyone visiting, us or any dogs here. Cats he would love to chase.
I find this boy smart, beyond gorgeous, happy and charming. He is beyond sweet with us and easy to be around he is so kind. I am still testing him on things but so far he is passing every single test. The only thing he does wrong but he also just arrived is a bit noisy in the crate. He just arrived so I am working on that too. Wrango is a very quick learner. UPDATE: He is not noisy in the crate here any longer. That only took him a few days of learning he is crated at night and yelling gets him zero response. I so love working with smart ones like him.
Again he has not offered to bite anyone here at any time and I handle him constantly with no issues whatsoever. But we also know how to properly pick up this breed without hurting them.
So if I find any holes in his training I will let folks know, but was told he marked. He is not even doing that here. I am guessing he was just not happy in his last home.
UPDATE: He was very charming with all the company today, sitting on laps and kissing everyone. I still can't find why this amazingly handsome boy is here in rescue. He is such a nice dog.
If you want a gorgeous Dachshund and you know the breed then please apply to adopt him.
To adopt please see above and apply for him on our web site. Thanks.
