My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Flower and Speck are an adorable, active, fun, extremely affectionate, sweet and playful pair of two-year-old, male and female Chihuahua/Min Pin-mixes looking for a loving guardian together.

Flower and Speck were found running stray together. When they were separated upon arrival at Chicago Animal Care and Control they were despondent until they were re-united. They are each other’s therapy dogs. Flower the female is seven pounds; Speck weighs only four pounds.

They are silly, happy, goofy little dogs whose antics will amuse anyone and everyone.

Flower and Speck are shy at first with new people. But once they warm up, they are yours forever. They are great with all other dogs, but they do chase cats a bit. They are doing well with their housebreaking when they get out on a regular basis, but they do love their crate and enjoy snuggling together.

While they don’t know formal commands like “sit” or “down,” they do know helpful commands like "crate," "go potty" and "in/outside". They walk well on leash and will do just about anything for a treat and they take them very gently from your fingers.

Flower and Speck are healthy, spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, de-wormed and heartworm-tested. Their adoption fee of $300 as a pair benefits the Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control. They are being fostered In the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago. To meet and possibly adopt them, please contact their foster mom Roxana at respoz@gmail.com
