Meet one of our special CRT puppies: Charlie (formally named Tyson). Charlie is a long haired Chihuahua who is primarily black with white highlights. We love his floppy ears. He is adorable.

Charlie is one of four puppies that we call the "Broken Bow Puppies". Here is their story: In mid-June, CRT was contacted by a family in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. Their mother had just passed away, and left several Chihuahuas behind. The family asked if CRT would be willing to take some and re-home them. Of course we said “yes”. When they arrived, one of the Chihuahuas, Duchess, was pregnant. One week later, on June 20th, she had four bouncing baby boys!

Charlie is one of the four puppies. He is very playful, and loves life. We would describe Charlie as having a medium energy level. Charlie gets along great with both the small dogs and large dogs in his foster home. He especially loves to wrestle with his 4 legged brothers. Charlie also loves playing with squeaky toys and with his ball. He also loves chewing on raw hides!

Charlie LOVES to go outside. He enjoys exploring, and is especially curious about the fish in the pond at his foster home. He will stare at them trying to figure out why they are in there swimming instead of coming over to play with him.

One of Charlie's favorite games is when his foster Mom throws sticks for him. He will chase them, bring them back, drop them at her feet, and beg her to throw them again!

Charlie loves everyone - he does not know a stranger. He is very friendly and happy to greet everyone. He has been wonderful with children too. Charlie loves to cuddle with his family at night when they are relaxing around the TV. He
is just a mellow little guy who loves being part of the pack.

Charlie is really smart. He is crate trained and will sleep in his crate at night. He is also already about 75% potty trained, and will go on the pee pee pads when he is inside. We believe he will be fully trained in no time at all!

Charlie is about 8 pounds and is fully grown. He is very friendly and gets along with everyone. Charlie is being raised in the same foster home as Vander, so if you are considering two brothers, check out Vander too! They would love to live together in a forever home! If you enjoy energy, fun and love in your home, this is the little guy for you!

Charlie is neutered, micro chipped, up-to-date on shots, HW negative and on heartworm prevention. He is ready to join a loving family - could that family be yours?

This dog is a CRT rescue. Reference checks, adoption contract and $225 adoption fee is required.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlie - Puppy, a Dallas Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Dallas, or seeking a Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Dallas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dallas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dallas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dallas paves the way for another one to be saved.
