This dog is being fostered in Dallas, Texas and must be adopted within the North Texas or Oklahoma City area.

Meet one of our special CRT puppies: Vander. Vander is a long haired Chihuahua who is primarily black with white highlights. We love his floppy ears. He is adorable.
Vander is one of four puppies that we call the "Broken Bow Puppies". Here is their story: In mid-June, CRT was contacted by a family in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. Their mother had just passed away, and left several Chihuahuas behind. The family asked if CRT would be willing to take some and re-home them. Of course we said “yes”. When they arrived, one of the Chihuahuas, Duchess, was pregnant. One week later, on June 20th, she had four bouncing baby boys!
Vander is one of the four puppies. He is very playful, and loves life. We would describe Vander as having a medium energy level. Vander gets along great with both the small dogs and large dogs in his foster home. He especially loves to wrestle with his 4 legged brothers. Vander also loves playing with squeeky toys and with his ball. He also loves chewing on raw hides!
Vander's favorite thing in the world is when he gets to go outside. He loves to go in and out, in and out! Vander thinks that is half the fun! He enjoys exploring when he is outside. He also loves it when his foster Mom lets him play with sticks. He begs her to throw the sticks for him. He will chase them, bring them back, drop them at her feet, and beg her to throw them again!
Vander loves everyone - he does not know a stranger. He is very friendly and happy to greet everyone. He has been wonderful with children too. Vander loves to cuddle with his family at night when they are relaxing around the TV. He is just a mellow little guy who loves being part of the pack.
Vander is really smart. He is crate trained and will sleep in his crate at night. He is also already about 75% potty trained, and will go on the pee pee pads when he is inside. We believe he will be fully trained in no time at all!
Vander is about 10 pounds and is fully grown. He is very friendly and gets along with everyone. Vander is being raised in the same foster home as Charlie, so if you are considering two brothers, check out Charlie too! They would love to live together in a forever home! If you enjoy energy, fun and love in your home, this is the little guy for you!
Vander is neutered, micro chipped, up-to-date on shots, HW negative and on heartworm prevention. He is ready to join a loving family - could that family be yours?
This dog is a CRT rescue. Reference checks, adoption contract and $225 adoption fee is required.
