My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our A litter of kittens arrived as a Stop the Cycle litter when they were just one day old. Mama kitty was reluctant to nurse, so her owner brought her and the kittens to us in case the kittens needed to be bottle-fed... but just before we sent them off to foster care, Mama figured it out, so she and the kittens have been happily living at the shelter and growing up fast. We are now ready to spay mother kitty and return her to her family, and will now find homes for all the kittens. They are fun-loving, frisky kitties, born 8/19/14, and will all be spayed/neutered 10/20 and ready to go to new homes by 10/23/14. They will do well in pretty much any type of home, all are social and playful. They should adapt fine to homes with dogs, other cats, and children.

Antelope is another super sweet tabby boy with white tuxedo markings.

We'd love to see all kittens go to homes that have another young, playful kitten, or to send 2 of them out as a pair (which gives you a great pair discount rate), but we do not require pair adoptions. If you prefer to adopt just one, and you don't have a similarly aged kitten at home already, please read our information on Single Kitten Syndrome:

http://forgetmenotshelter.org/blog/single-kitten-syndrome

Then, when you apply for a single kitten, please let us know in the "Comments" field how you plan to deal with the "kitten crazies."

All kittens arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and with all age-appropriate vaccinations; most will need one or two booster vaccinations after arrival, and rabies vaccination between 4-6 months of age. Adoption fee for Antelope is suggested minimum $63 (more gratefully accepted). Discount for pair adoptions: $106 total for two! All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to both the Seattle area and Spokane, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
