Miley is an adorable 6 month old purebred Golden Retriever pup who needs a special home. Miley’s owner has been breeding beautiful Goldens for 20 years. This past May, Miley was born with Diabetes Type 1. Thus, both of her parents have been retired from breeding. Miley will need insulin twice a day for the rest of her life, along with daily blood sugar monitoring, and a regulated diet and exercise. In most other ways, Miley is a typical 6 month old Golden pup who likes to play with other dogs, take a walk on her leash, and loves rides in the car. She is crate trained and knows how to sit, stay, and lay down. Miley loves children but needs to be reminded how to behave with them, typical of a puppy of this age.

Potential adopters must be aware of the needs, both financial and time-wise, of a diabetic puppy. Additionally, all young dogs require a great deal of time, attention and patience.
