Adoption Donation:   $125.00

All About Me:   Cupcake was rescued from the shelter.  She is a very laid back little girl.  She is shy when she first meets people, but then she becomes a real cuddly bug.  She is crate trained and house trained.  She gets along great with the other dogs in her foster home.  She likes to bark at the cats but she does not chase them or cause any harm.

She loves to ride in the car and hang out with her foster family.  She would do best in a home with no small children.  She would love to have another dog in the family to play with and keep her company.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cupcake, a Old Fort Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Old Fort, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Old Fort.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Old Fort already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Old Fort breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Old Fort paves the way for another one to be saved.
