Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ariel’s big personality makes up for her small size, weighing in at just over two pounds. She is a playful love-bug and appreciates your attention, but is not “needy”. She’s quite adventurous and tests her independence as she explores her new environments. She is 12 weeks old and will not be a very big girl as a grown up. If you are looking for your new best friend, Ariel is your girl! Ariel is being fostered with her sisters, Anna and Ava, and they are quite sweet together. She is equally in charge with her sister Anna when there are new spaces to explore. She is also content to curl up with Anna for a nap or will ask for you lap if she sees you on the couch. Ariel will play with the two, medium-sized resident dogs and enjoys the company of our tolerant cat. At night, she sleeps in a gated area with her sisters but has free reign of our living space when we are home. We are working on potty training and will do her business outside, but has not completely mastered the idea. She is also fairly consistent about going on the training pads. She’s a little sparkler! I love this girl and you will too!Since we don't know at all what doggy genes are in the dogs make up (we don't know who mom and dad are!), we are just guessing on breed and size when grown.
All dogs are spayed or neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. They have all had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer, are treated for fleas, have a heartworm test if over 6 months old and are up to date on a heartworm preventative.
Please note that because we require a home visit at the time of adoption we can only place animals in homes within a 60 mile radius of Minneapolis. If you are interested in meeting this dog please fill out the pre-adoption application on our website at www.safehandsrescue.org under Adopt and we will get back to you to arrange a meeting in the foster home.
We also have an Adoptable Dog Meet & Greet on Saturday November 1, 2014, at Fetch Delivers Warehouse, 783 Harding St. NE. Suite 150, Minneapolis, MN 55413, from noon - 2 pm. Occasionally dogs cannot make it to the Meet & Greet, therefore feel free to verify if your dog of interest is able to attend. Please bring a copy of your pre-adoption application.
