My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name is TAWNY and I am a handsome three year old GINGER boy. I want nothing more than a home of my own. Sadly, I have lived almost my whole life in a shelter. I was brought to our Long Beach Shelter as a teeny kitten around the time of Superstorm Sandy. I grew up in the shelter with the volunteers and workers loving me. I especially loved when children would come to the shelter to visit because they played with me and made me feel special. Recently, I was lucky enough to spend some time in a foster home where I am still adjusting to life in a home. I am hopeful though there is someone out there who will give me a chance.
Here's a little more about me - I am very LAID BACK, SEMI INDEPENDENT, but do love to be PET and get CHIN RUBS. I like to do my own thing like many other cats and will come over to you to CUDDLE when I am ready. I really do LOVE other cats and look to them for COMFORT & SECURITY. I would be perfect for someone who is looking for a companion and doesn't mind if I do my own thing sometimes. I definitely need a home where there are other cats to be my friends and playmates. I am neutered, UTD on shots, and FIV/FeLV negative.
