I am certain you clicked to read more about me because of my smile! My smile is as they say...contagious. I make my foster mom smile all the time in fact!

My name is Butters (well I kind of lived up to my name I am a bit chunky or a "butter" ball you might say). Hey, I am certain most of the people reading

this could afford to drop a few pounds so lets start our weight loss program together. So the question I am sure on your mind is HOW did such a

sweet and happy looking girl end up homeless? Good question, but sad answer. You see my mom passed away, and the animal protective league

was called in because there were 25 of US dogs living in a small house. We all had not had much medical done and were in pretty rough shape

so the APL helped many and rescues stepped in to work with some of us. I am now in a foster home with other dogs and I sure love their company.

Of course, I have always lived with many dogs so it is hard to say how I would be without them, but I do love my people a lot too so if you were patient

and okay with working with me, I am sure we could work on me getting used to just you humans too. Now, since there were 25 of us and not much

care was going on, I still need work with my pottying. Okay, I KNOW I am 6, but age means nothing if people never taught us what we

need to know. I can be crated to work with this and I wear a pair of princess panties right now (google them they are cool - washable diapers for dogs)

and these are really a great tool. I am a very good girl in the crate and I hold my pottThe bonus is I am older and I have to go less so it is MUCH easier to manage and teach me to only go outside.

I am good in the car. I walk well on a leash and again I could use some walking. I am great with humans and dogs of all sizes! I really am a friendly,

loving, and sweet girl and I truly deserve a chance at a "normal" life ya know? If you are my angel and you are looking for the sweetest and friendliest

girl to everyone she meets and do not mind helping me in a few basic areas, well then I really wish you would stop staring at my cute pictures and

instead go fill out the application at www.cthar.org and drive to Girard and make me yours. I will love you forever....I can promise you that!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

BUTTER - DOXIE MIX SO LOVING 6 YEARS YOUNG, a Mentor Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Mentor, or seeking a Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Mentor.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mentor already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mentor breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mentor paves the way for another one to be saved.
