Pearl's Story...
Meet Pearl, a Shar Pei female who, as of September 2014, is about four months old and small for her age, but she will grow to be between 35-50 lbs. She is the colour of dark chocolate, with a couple of cute white tipped paws! She is the only puppy left from a large litter we rescued two months ago. The vet thinks they are purebred but we are unsure.

Sweet Pearl loves to cuddle and spend time with her humans. She is good with dogs, kids, adults, and cats. A quiet, snuggly girl she also enjoys playing with people and dogs. Pearl is healthy and is receiving her required vaccinations, and will continue to be vetted until she is adopted. If Pearl is adopted before she is old enough to be spayed, her adoptive family must agree to have her spayed. As with any puppy, Pearl will require housebreaking and leash training although we are already working on that with her.

In order to adopt Pearl, you must fill out an adoption application and adoption contract. Pearl's adoption fee is $100, and if she needs to be transported to you, the cost is $150 paid to the Pet Transport company. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pearl, a Cookeville Shar Pei puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shar Pei for sale in Cookeville, or seeking a Shar Pei puppy from a breeder in Cookeville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cookeville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cookeville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shar Pei breeders who help with Shar Pei rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cookeville paves the way for another one to be saved.
